SmartScreen does not conflict with any of Norton's features or functions.

Is this normal? Do you have it on your computer too? New value: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Features\TamperProtection = 0x0 Old value: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Features\TamperProtection = 0x1 If this is an unexpected event you should review the settings as this may be the result of malware. Microsoft Defender Antivirus Configuration has changed. I did not find anything related to my first issue but I have noticed this event from back when I turned on this computer (preinstalled with Norton) for the first time: Is it possible that Norton Security is responsible for this? Is this normal behavior that I should not be worried about?Īnother thing: I have looked at Windows Defender events in the Event Viewer. I did not disable this feature on my own. It said the "Check apps and files" feature was disabled and prompted me to re-enable it. When I turned on my computer today I have noticed that Windows Defender had a yellow triangle next to its icon.
